Kief in Coffee – How to Make Cannabis-Infused Coffee (2 Best Methods)
Ever wanted to try kief in coffee? Well, you have come to the right place. This recipe will show you how to make cannabis-infused coffee using two different methods. Now everyone’s favourite morning drink can have some extra edible power added to it!
What is Kief?
Kief is the crystallized powdery substance you find on weed. It is a bunch of trichomes and small plant matter that have gathered together.
The most common place to get kief is at the bottom of your grinder or in the corners and cracks of it. It falls through the mesh and bundles up. Once you collect enough of it you can use it in many different ways. One of them is making potent edibles.
How to Make Kief-Infused Coffee
You heard it right! Now you can actually add your favourite plant to your favourite drink! Coffee lovers, you now have a new drink you need to try!
There are two different ways to put kief in coffee. The first being directly adding the kief to the cup with a few extra steps involved. The second being adding cannabis-infused milk to your cup of coffee.
Directions for Kief in Coffee:

This recipe is scaled for one cup of coffee. Add more depending on the amount you want and potency you desire.
Step One – Decarboxylate Kief: Lay your kief out on a cooking tray. Roughly .25 – .5 grams. Then place in the oven for 30 – 60 minutes at 240 F. It should come out a lightish brown colour.
Step Two – Mix Kief into Coffee: Remove kief from the oven. Make a hot batch of coffee and then add decarboxylated kief into it. Stir the cup.
Step Three: Drink coffee! Enjoy!
How to Decarboxylate Kief
Decarboxylating kief is the same process as using the regular cannabis buds. It just takes a little less time due to the density and size of kief.

How to Make Cannabis-Infused Coffee
This recipe calls for the use of cannabis-infused milk. If you don’t have this or want to learn how to make it – we wrote an article about it here. This recipe is more researched and the potency can be more accurately calculated.

You add the amount of cannabis-infused milk you desire to your cup of coffee! Now you have a morning edible delicacy. If you know the potency of your milk, you will be able to determine the potency of the coffee.

Does Kief in Coffee Get You High?
The answer is, yes!
But, you must decarboxylate it first to ensure success.
Then after the kief has been decarboxylated, the heat from the coffee will be hot enough to activate the cannabinoids in the kief. When the coffee has digested, the effects of the activated THC and CBD are longer and more intense. This is just the same as taking a weed edible.
How to get Kief
You need a grinder with a kief compartment or something that works the same way. You also need a coin.
Step 1: Grind the cannabis up.
Step 2: Place coin inside the grinder where ground-up cannabis lays.
Step 3: Shake the grinder horizontally to make the coin shake “grind” against the cannabis.
Step 4: Check the kief compartment.
You can add a coin into the middle compartment of your grinder to get extra kief. Shake your grinder and the coin will press the cannabis against the mesh inside making more kief. Doing this reduces the overall potency of the cannabis your taking the kief from.
How to Determine Potency of Kief
The colour of the kief can help you determine how pure it is.
The lighter the shade of kief usually indicates how pure it is. The darker shades of green indicate it has lots of the plant leaves mixed in.

HEY, why do i always get told 38 different ways of making something? Everywhere else on the Internet says that the HEAT from COFFEE WILL De-Carboxylate yer Canna: meaning there shouldn't be any need to “activate” the kief before adding it to the coffee. Whats the deal?
